4 Year Old Room
At the Academy for Little Learners, children 4 to 5 years of age enjoy a large classroom (880 sq ft) designed specifically for this age group to facilitate learning and fun. Your children will also have many opportunities to play outside in our dedicated 2400 sq ft 4 year old play ground equipped with developmentally appropriate and fun equipment. During inclement weather, children can enjoy free play time in our 2000 square foot lower level open play area.
In the unlikely event of a tornado, we provide your children protection in our 2800 Sq Ft subterranean tornado shelter
Our curriculum focuses on children's development in:
- Social Skills (problem solving, sharing, motor skills, etc)
- Self-Help Skills (brushing teeth, washing hands, dressing)
- Fine Motor Skills
- Large Motor Skills
- Cognitive Skills (number skills, shape, color and letter recognition)
Our 4 year old curriculum is ultimately designed to prepare children to successfully transition into kindergarten.
Lesson plans are developed and available for review each week.
